What makes me qualified?
MY BACKGROUND

I have an extensive background as a teacher. As a graduate of Kent State University with a degree in Elementary and Special Education and a Masters Degree in Reading from Waldon University, I have taught Special Needs children at every level, from pre-school to high school to juveniles in prison.
I’m a product of public education, as are my children – three of whom are physicians and one is an attorney. Public education works. A resident of Moore County for the last 15 years, I’m truly concerned about what is happening in education today. It's not enough to just moan about it - action is required! As President of the Moore Republican Women for the last four years, I helped lead the Club’s fight to keep CRT out of Moore County Schools.

As a former teacher, I know how frustrating roadblocks to learning can be. Let's make it easier for teachers to teach what's important to their students' success, not spend precious time on controversial social engineering.
